Course Description

Participants will read through the book Heavenly Discipleship, by Michael Wells, and work through selected sections of the accompanying study guide.  Weekly classes will include teaching by Ps. Dan Cannone, as well as the opportunity for group discussion, learning and prayer.  This course is open to all, there are no entry requirements, however participants should be 16 years or older.

Heavenly discipleship believes that the fullness of Christ exists in every believer and our task is to reveal that great truth.  Discipleship is not putting Christ or His characteristics into a person, but rather revealing the Christ that dwells in a person, “Christ in you, the hope of glory”.

Course Structure

This course comprises:

• Reading set chapters of Heavenly Discipleship
• Completing exercises from the Study Guide
• Attending weekly classes
• Participating in group discussions
• Completing assessments

 Fees and Timetable

The fee for this course is $75.  This includes course materials consisting of the book, Heavenly Discipleship, as well as the companion study guide.

The course duration is 10 weeks. The weekly classes will be held at Vineyard Church on Thursdays from 7 pm – 9 pm.  Note these dates align with the school term.

The purpose of this course is to contribute to the growth of Christians, including development of skills in the following areas:

• Biblical knowledge
• Reflective practice

Assessment

In order to be marked as competant, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what they have learned during the course and provide feedback.
